2018 Stalls

Applying for a Community or Trade stall

Queen’s Park Day will be Sunday 16th September 2018. The arrangements for applying for a Community or Trade stall will be posted here on 1st April 2018. Please resist enquiring before that date, as every year we receive many enquiries before the opening date for applications, but we cannot answer them before then.

Here are the answers to some of the questions that have been frequently asked in previous years. They may help, as the arrangements are likely to similar this year.

Am I eligible for Community Stall?
Community Stalls are for charities with registered charity numbers and not-for-profit organisations. Examples of not-for profit organisations would be churches, libraries, scouts, brownies, cubs and youth groups.

If I apply for a stall immediately will I be sure to get one?
Not necessarily. Stalls are not allocated on a first come first served basis. After the closing date we consider all the applications and then contact you to tell you whether or not you have been successful.

How do you allocate stalls?
We favour local organisations, charities and local traders. Every year we try to introduce some new stalls. We also aim for a balance of different types of stalls.

What’s the size of each stall pitch?
They vary, but the frontage of your pitch will be between 3 and 4 metres.

Do you have more applications for stalls than pitches available?
Yes, we are always oversubscribed and some applicants will be disappointed. There is a short waiting list in case of cancellations.

How do I find out whether my application succeeded?
We will contact you by e-mail (or post if you have no e-mail)

Will there be more information on this site about Queen’s Park Day?
Yes, the QPARA website will be regularly updated. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
