  • Moped crime – drop in 5pm to 7pm, Thu Oct 26th at Swiss Cottage Community Centre, 19 Winchester Rd NW3 3NR. Police from Brent & Camden will be there

At Thursday’s QPARA Monthly Meeting, we were very concerned to hear that a woman in her early 60’s was attacked while out walking her dog in Queen’s Park on Saturday night, 7th October. The attack took place at 10.30pm on the corner of Peploe and Kempe Roads. The attacker was on a moped. He circled the woman, rode onto the pavement, pushed her to the ground and stole her phone. In the same report, we heard of similar daylight attacks on younger women who have been attacked while out with their children.

Please be vigilant. Our thoughts are with all the victims of these vicious crimes.

Our local MP, Tulip Siddiq, is holding a drop-in meeting specifically about moped related attacks, from 5pm to 7pm on on Thursday October 26th at the Swiss Cottage Community Centre, 19 Winchester Rd NW3 3NR, from 5-7pm. Police from Brent & Camden will be there.

  • Moped related crime

From the office of Tulip Siddiq

    Dear >,

A number of residents have taken the time to contact me with their concerns about moped-related crime in our constituency and across London over the past months.

This type of crime has risen seven-fold across the capital in only two years and I know many people are understandably worried.

I would like to invite you to a drop-in session I’m holding later this month. Representatives from the Camden Metropolitan Police and Brent Metropolitan Police will be in attendance.

This is an opportunity for local residents to drop-by and discuss the concerns that they have and for the police to update people on the work that they’re doing.

    Date: Thursday 26th October
    Time: 5 – 7 pm
Venue: Swiss Cottage Community Centre, 19 Winchester Rd, London NW3 3NR

You are welcome to drop-in anytime during these two hours. I hope to see you there.

Please let me know if you can come by emailing me at tulip@tulipsiddiq.com.

    Best wishes,

    Tulip Siddiq MP

Labour Member of Parliament for Hampstead and Kilburn

Brent Safer Neighbourhood Board Public Meeting

Do you have concerns about crime or safety? Do you have ideas about how to make Brent safer, cut crime near you or involve people in making their communities safer?

Brent’s Safer Neighbourhood Board was set up by the Mayor of London in 2014 to hold local police to account and help set police priorities. Its members are Brent residents from different parts of the community.

They are holding a meeting for people to find out what the Board does, the projects it has funded, and to give people the opportunity to ask the police commander questions and give ideas.
