QPARA invites local non-profit organisations to apply for donations
If you help run or are involved in a charity or a not-for-profit organisation which operates within the QPARA area, your organisation could apply for a donation of up to £1000 from QPARA to help fund the services you provide.
Examples of organisations we have donated to in previous years include Salusbury World, which works with refugee and asylum seeking children and families, and the My Move Toddler Drop-In at St Anne’s and St Andrew’s Church.
Please submit a written application by 11 February. You will need to have a QPARA member as a sponsor. QPARA members will decide on the allocation of funds at our meeting on 10 March.
Email mikecantor18@yahoo.co.uk for further information or download an application form.

Volunteers please for St Anne’s First World War history project
To mark the centenary of the First World War, St Anne’s church is inviting individuals, families or small groups each to research one name from the brass plaque which commemorates 31 men from the parish who died in, or as a result of, the war. The plaque was taken from the old church, is now at the top of the stairs in St Anne’s. It is hoped to collect the research together into a book.
If you are interested in doing some detective work and volunteering to take a name, please use the following link to find out more: World War 1 Commemoration Project.
