There was a presentation of the proposals at the QPARA meeting on Tuesday 10th March. A flyer giving more information can be seen or downloaded below.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) Planning Committee meeting on 11th November, the 1st stage of the Ballymore, Project Flourish project was approved – 4 to 1.

This is not the final decision as it will, almost certainly, be called in by the Mayor of London and probably the Government.

A key factor for RBKC was that, as they are failing to reach set targets for new housing, they are virtually compelled to approve any housing scheme that comes up.

The Keep Kensal Green Campaign mounted a well-informed challenge, listing numerous deviations from planning policy. These will, no doubt, be the grounds for further opposition. They are also considering legal action; more details on their website www.keepkensalgreen.com
