Experimental Traffic Orders decision – QPARA response of 2 May 2025

On 24 April, Brent issued its decisions on the two Experimental Traffic Orders restricting morning rush hour traffic through streets on the east side of the park.

QPARA’s Extended Streetscape Group was concerned about these decisions and used Brent’s call-in procedure—requiring five willing backbench councillors from more than one party—to request that they be reviewed.

The QPARA call-in submission:

Under call-in rules, the matter would normally be reviewed by Brent’s Scrutiny Committee. However, for procedural reasons, this has not yet happened (as at 17/05/25). The call-in had to be submitted within five days of the decision being released and maintains QPARA’s long-held position in favour of a wider area trial.

More information will be provided when available.
