Kensal Green Gasworks

Kensal Green Gasworks is the name given by St William for their part of the overall development.

St. William are a division of Berkley Homes which is mainly concerned with the development of former gasworks sites.

St William have a website dedicated to their part of this development at: https://kensalgasworks.com/.

This part of the site is largely that formerly occupied by the gasometers. There was some remediation of the site when these were removed. The layout of the old plant means that this area is likely to be less contaminated than the eastern part of the site.

This part of the development is largely residential, with few commercial and community elements.

The St William website indicates submission of their planning application in “Early 2025” which was later redefined as April/May 2025. As at 16th May 2025 there is no mention of this on the RBKC planning website.
