Kensal Green Gasworks

Kensal Green Gasworks is the name given by St William for their part of the overall development.

St. William are a division of Berkley Homes which is mainly concerned with the development of former gasworks sites.

St William have a website dedicated to their part of this development at: https://kensalgasworks.com/.

This part of the site is largely that formerly occupied by the gasometers. There was some remediation of the site when these were removed. The layout of the old plant means that this area is likely to be less contaminated than the eastern part of the site.

This part of the development is largely residential, with few commercial and community elements.

The planning application is now available on the RBKC planning website.

There are actually two applications. The main site and an additional one for access from Ladbroke Grove. This is in case the Project Flourish/Ballymore application fails and would allow St William to proceed on their own.

The deadline for comments is September 19th. This will be discussed at the QPARA meeting on September 11th.
