On July 7th 2022, members of QPARA and other friends gathered at the Bandstand in Queen’s Park to say farewell to Helen Durnford. Derek Paravicini, the first beneficiary of the Amber Trust, is blind and autistic and a world famous pianist. The concert is a chance to see him live in Willesden Green! At Anson School, 9th July 7 p..m. He plays all kinds of music, plays requests from the audience, improvises on notes given to him by the audience – so entertaining and astonishing …
The Amber Trust supports musical children (from toddlers to young adults) who may be blind or partially sighted , maybe with other disabilities. For their beneficiaries, “music is not a pastime but a lifeline”.
Other beneficiaries of the Trust will be playing, the school choir will sing and it will be an entertaining and heart-warming occasion. Tickets are £20, £10 concessions including wine and light refreshments after the concert.
Please come and support this worthwhile charity, at the same time enjoying a concert to remember.
