Competitions for 2024
All Pets Dog Show
The All Pets Dog show is organised by All Pets Veterinary Clinic. Their vets will judge the competitions, and professional dog trainer and behaviourist Joe Clarke will be MC on the day. Prizes are donated by All Pets.
The Dog Show starts at 12.00 p.m. at the Main Arena, with registration from 11:30.
The classes are:
- Prettiest pup (puppy aged under 1 year old)
- Bonniest bitch or fairest maiden! (under 7 years old)
- Handsomest boy (under 7 years old)
- Best senior (over 7 years old)
- Best child handler (handler aged under 12)
- Dog the Judge would most like to take home (open)
- Waggiest Tail (open)
- Best Rescue Dog (open)
THERE IS A LIMIT OF 20 DOGS IN EACH CLASS, 10 pre-registered and 10 registered on the day. Pre-register between 2nd and 12th September via ‘Contact’ on the All Pets website. In person registration will take place at the Main Arena between 11:30 and 12:00 on the day.
Individual dogs cannot be registered in more than 2 classes, due to pressure of numbers.
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated.
Entries for all the following competitions must be received at the Competitions Tent between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm on the day.
Adult Baking – Choux Pastry
Profiteroles, gougères or éclairs – it’s all choux pastry! Fill your buns with either a sweet or savoury filling.
Children’s Baking – Gingerbread People
Decorated gingerbread people. Children up to and including Year 6 are eligible.
Preserves – Chilli Jam
Bring along a jar of your best sweet, spicy and savoury chilli jam.
Made from Cardboard – a FAMILY competition
Have fun with your family dreaming up and making a cardboard creation – a good use for all those boxes from online deliveries as well!
Your Queen’s Park – an art competition for kids
Show us what you like best in the Park, in a drawing or painting. It might be something in the playground, one of the animals, or maybe you like a particular tree, or the Pitch and Putt course. (It could even be a picture of you, eating an ice cream from the café…)
Work will be judged in two categories:
- Up to and including Year 2
- Years 3 to 6 inclusive
Paint a Pebble [new competition]
Decorate your perfect pebble! Children up to and including Year 6 are eligible.
