• Read QPARA’s comments on the Brent Local Plan

Thanks for the suggestions you made after the December QPARA meeting and our previous post. Richard Johnson has now sent our comments to Brent. You can read them here.

  • Drop off your Christmas tree in Queen’s Park for recycling

Take it by 13th January to the fenced off area by the woodland walk (Chevening Road/ Kingswood Avenue gate) and stack it there with the others. Please do not leave your tree by the yard gate, as you may well have done in previous years, or at any of the other park gates.

Please tell your friends and neighbours.

The tree will be collected by Brent Council week beginning 14 January and turned into mulch.

Alternatively, if you have a green garden waste bin, you can chop your tree up and put it in there. Do not leave it whole beside the bin.

And whatever you do, please do not just dump it in the street!

  • A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Queen’s Park

Shakespeare will be performed in the Quiet Garden in Queen’s Park for the fourth year running next year. The play will be A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the date is Saturday June 22 2019.  More details will be available at the Shakespeare in the Squares website nearer the time, but for now, it’s a date for next year’s diary.
