• Volunteers wanted to water the pots outside Queen’s Park station

    With the warmer weather, the pots and planters that QPARA maintains will need frequent watering for them to look their best, especially the ones outside Queen’s Park station. The watering team are putting together a rota and would love some extra help please. The watering is best done in the evening.

  • Use this link to get e-alerts from Brent

    At the last QPARA meeting, someone recommended registering with Brent to receive emails about planning applications in Queen’s Park. Here’s how:

    • Use this link http://brent.gov.uk/ealert  and choose “email alert sign up”.
    • Then fill in the details requested to register: username, password, email address etc.
    • Then press “proceed” and work through each screen to provide your address and the kind of information that you want to receive.
    • One option is to hear about all planning applications within a chosen radius of your address. Choose that.

    It probably takes longer to explain than to do. So, good luck!

  • The countdown to Queen’s Park Day 2015 has begun #QPD15

    Arena events 2

    Queen’s Park Day is still three months away, but the organising  team are already working hard to make it as big a success as is was last year. Applications for stalls have closed; competitions are being planned and attractions are being booked.

    This year’s arena events will include: The Blue Falcons Gymnastic Display Team from Chelmer High School in Chelmsford, the strongman Mighty Smith, Van Buren Magic Show, Savage Skills Mountain Bike Display Team. There will also be a dog show to be judged by Queen’s Park Vets and last, but not least, look out for the annual  Tug of War between neighbouring Residents’ Associations.

    Queen’s Park Day is Sunday 13th September 2015.
